My western film work includes a project with Wilson Cattle Company centered on their stud horse, Tic Tick Boom Boon, where the focus was on presence, bloodline, movement and the character surrounding the horse beyond the arena. That same approach carries into my work with Shad Mayfield, including Money $zn and Homegrown—films that explore the person and life around the competition. I’m drawn to the preparation, the quieter moments and the details that give an athlete’s story its character. That perspective also shapes my narrative work, including Don’t Bet the Horse You Rode in On.
